Two Engineers Get Hitched at The Coziest Winter Wedding
There is just something about December weddings.
Something about the crisp air and the anticipation of the holidays make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Then, add in a day of celebrating a couple starting their life together as husband and wife and you have a magical, winter wedding day.
After moving to Memphis, Tennessee this fall, I had four weddings in East Tennessee that I travelled across the state for - they were all so perfectly wonderful and unique and I am so honored to have been a part of each of them.
Adam and Kristina’s wedding day was full of smiles. I can’t remember a time that I looked at either one of them and didn’t see a grin plastered on their faces. Kristina and her girls got ready at The Tennessean Hotel - it was the most beautiful spot for her to slip into her wedding dress with the wall of windows and the oversized map of Knoxville hanging over the king sized bed.
Even with a little bit of rain, the bride and groom rolled with it and were up for a first look under an overpass in World’s Fair Park and an umbrella stroll by the Sunsphere. Then the rain cleared up enough for us to take some portraits over by the venue - The Foundry. The best of both world’s, in my opinion!
Adam and Kristina wrote their own vows and read them to each other during the ceremony. These photos are some of my favorites because you know the words coming out of their mouths were heartfelt. I love the thought of their vow books sitting on a table next to a framed picture of them reading the words for the very first time.
I’m so thankful for wonderful couples like Adam and Kristina who feel like friends and trust me to capture this once and a lifetime day. I’m excited to photograph more couples this year in Memphis and all over Tennessee!
